In Loving Memory of Ursula Herma Crampton Ursula Herma Crampton, a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by family on January 24, 2024, at the age of 87. Ursula was born to Johan and Henrietta Siemukaitis in Bremerhaven, Germany on November 15, 1936. Ursula built a life rich with love and warmth that echoed across two continents, emigrating to the U.S. in 1964 and visiting Germany frequently. In the U.S., she found home in southeast Michigan, including nearly 20 years near the water in New Baltimore. Ursula was skilled in crocheting and knitting and enjoyed music of all varieties. Her friendly presence left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered, from lifelong friends she kept in touch with over decades, to the store clerks she greeted with a warm smile - all of whom would know her by name. An extraordinary cook, Ursula was a maestro in the kitchen, specializing in the rich and savory flavors of her German heritage. Her pot roast, red cabbage, scratch-made gravy, and apple cake - to name only a few of her delicious dishes - were not just meals, but a language of love that lingered in the memories of all fortunate enough to savor them. Ursula was a hard worker and gave everything to her family, giving every opportunity she could for her daughter to succeed. She balanced her industrious nature with a love for precious moments with family, enjoying many unforgettable trips, adventures, and laughs with her beloved daughter. A dedicated and proud grandmother, Ursula consistently brought her granddaughter to all her band, dance, and theater practices and supported her at her performances. This time spent together built cherished memories and cultivated a legacy of love and creativity. Ursula is survived by her daughter Dagmar Klimek (partner Bill Zabritski), granddaughter Kirsten Zeiter (fiancé Adi Mandavia), longtime friend and coworker Barb Gilette, and caregiver Denice Waraksa. She will be dearly missed by friends and family, who will forever hold memories of her love and joy in their hearts. In the journey beyond, she will be warmly greeted by those who preceded her in passing. Ursula’s family plans to honor her memory with a celebration of life at an upcoming date. Donations may be made in her honor to the Humane Society of Michigan.
