Sara-Jane Easton (nee Cobb)

Sara-Jane Easton (nee Cobb), of Warren, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018, at the age of 57. She was born February 8, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan. Beloved wife of Timothy. Cherished daughter of Sara (the late Charles) Cobb. Loving stepmother of Christin (Tom) Spears and Courtney Easton. Dearest grandmother of Jestin, Nevaeh, Ethan, and Kayden. Dear sister of David (Vita) Cobb, Terrence (Carolyn) Cobb, Rosalen Cobb, and Rochelle Cobb. Also survived by her loving nieces and nephews; Charles, Salvatore, Kurtis, Serena (Dustin), and Elizabeth (Antonio) and her godmother, Mary (Paul) Blanchard. Sara-Jane was a strong believer of the Catholic faith, and her spirituality drew from Native American customs. She is remembered lovingly by many as "SJ". SJ had a passion for sewing and her family. Therefore, she was appropriately named the thread that held the family fabric together. Her favorite past time was hosting game nights, parties, and holidays, always creating an atmosphere for family bonding and creating memories. No party was complete without her there to turn up the volume! Jokes were never in short supply with SJ around. She always said laughter was the best medicine, and was always prepared to administer a dose. Among her sewing, party hosting, and comedic talents, she had a knack for match making too, bringing numerous couples together. SJ always taught her step daughters, nieces, nephews, and grandsons the importance of family traditions. A few of her favorite traditions were visiting churches on Holy Thursday, 4th of July parties, Thanksgiving dinner with the family, and making cookies for Christmas. To Sara-Jane, family was not determined by blood but by strong connections of love, care, and quality time and to her, most of her friends classified as family by her standards. With that said, many of us loved her unconditionally throughout her lifetime. We were all blessed by being granted this special child of God. Our hearts are full of all the cherished memories we have of you. Rest in heaven dear angel, your journey here on earth is through!! It's not goodbye, for we will see you again. Visitation Friday 2-8 p.m. with a Words of Remembrance Service at 7 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (West of Hoover) Warren. Instate Saturday 9 a.m. until the 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Martin de Porres Parish, 31555 Hoover (South of Masonic) Warren. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
