Russell Francis Williams, 93, of Sterling Heights, MI, passed away peacefully on the evening of Friday, April 10, 2026. A beloved husband, father, brother-in-law, and lifelong friend, Russell's kindness, wisdom, and genuine passion for helping others will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Born on Sunday, July 10, 1932, to George L. Williams and Thelma C. Williams in Brockton, Massachusetts, Russell grew up with a spirit of curiosity and determination. He pursued his education in engineering at Lawrence Technological University, which laid the foundations for his impressive career as an Engineering Supervisor at Chrysler Corporation in Michigan. Throughout his time at Chrysler, Russell developed lifelong friendships and built a professional legacy characterized by his dedication and integrity. Russell proudly served his country in the Army National Guard, embodying the values of service and patriotism in both his military and personal life. He was a devoted husband of 68 years to the late Jeanne Marie Williams, who preceded him in death in 2022, and together they built a family filled with love and shared memories. Russell is survived by his loving children: Linda M. Williams, Alan (Lee) Williams, and Andrew (Angela) Williams, as well as his cherished sister-in-law, Lorraine Christensen-Crook. His kind heart and supportive nature left an indelible mark on his family and friends alike. A visitation will be held to honor Russell's life on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Wasik Funeral Home, Shelby Township, MI, where family and friends can celebrate the remarkable life he lived. A Funeral Service will follow at the same location from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm. A prayer service will be said at the funeral home on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11:15 am, with a committal service to take place at 12:30 pm at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the National Veteran Foundation in Russell's memory, honoring his commitment to service and veterans’ causes.
