Joann Dianne Weber

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joann Dianne Weber, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Joann passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born in Warren, Michigan, on Saturday, October 18th, 1941. Joann was a devoted mother to her children: Robert, Darren (Sue), Denise (Michael) Rumball, and Scott (Lisa). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Hunter (Monica) Rumball, Joshua, Jacob, and Madeline Weber, as well as Gabriella, Nathan, and Noah Weber. She is also survived by her sister, Darlene (Jim) Graham, and her sister-in-law, Leona Van Steenkiste. Preceding Joann in death were her beloved spouse, Robert M. Weber, her father, William Albert Van Steenkiste, and her mother, Madeline Isabella Van Steenkiste. She was also predeceased by her brothers, William C. and Kenneth P. Van Steenkiste, daughter-in-law Laura M. Weber, mother-in-law Mary Weber, father-in-law Joseph P. Weber, stepmother-in-law Barbara Weber, and several brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law along with their spouses. Joann was a proud graduate of St. Clement Catholic school and dedicated her professional life to serving others as a Member Service Representative. Her faith as a Catholic was a guiding force throughout her life, and she was a faithful member of her St. Martin de Porres church community in Warren. An incredibly strong woman, Joann was known for her talents as an amazing seamstress and her love for baking treats. She had an impressive collection of shoes and clothes, reflecting her reputation as a sharp dresser. Joann was meticulous in her cleaning and had a deep appreciation for flowers and gardening. Her love for sweets was well-known among her family and friends, as was her passion for attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Joann cherished every moment spent playing with her grandchildren, especially when it involved crafts and play-doh. Joann's life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Utica, MI, on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation at Wasik Funeral Home in Shelby Township, MI, on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Instate in church will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's choice in Joann's memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wasik Funeral Home-Shelby Township. Joann will be deeply missed by her family, long-time neighbors, and friends. Her warmth, love, and unwavering spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
