Gloria J. Ruehle

With profound sadness and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Gloria J. Ruehle, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, who peacefully departed on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in New Baltimore, Michigan. Gloria lived a rich life of 83 years filled with love, creativity, and dedication. Born on April 4, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, Gloria was the cherished daughter of a community she would go on to enrich with her warmth and talents. As a dedicated Sales Associate with J.L. Hudson in Detroit, Michigan, Gloria embodied hard work and commitment, enriching the lives of those she encountered both personally and professionally. Gloria's life was adorned with her passions that included drawing, writing poetry, and journaling—her creative soul found solace in these expressions. A published poet and lover of the written word, she relished reading and crafting poetry, and often found joy in solving the intricate challenges of word searches. Her nurturing spirit was evident in her love for caring for children, impacting many young lives with her gentle kindness. Gloria was the treasured wife of 58 years to Thomas H. Ruehle, whose partnership embodied love and devotion. Together, they built a family that stands as a testament to their enduring commitment to each other. Gloria was a loving and devoted mother to Ronald (Renee) Ruehle, Wallace Ruehle, and Tracy (Peter) Aiello. Her family, the heart of her world, includes proud and loving grandchildren: Aaron (Heather), Amber, Payton, and Avery, and great-grandchildren: Lyla and Lydia, each of whom was touched by her warmth and wisdom. She is also survived by her dear sister, Nancy Weir, and cherished niece, Nancy (Rick) Reveley, who were integral parts of her extended family, and whose lives were profoundly enriched by her presence. A celebration of Gloria's full and inspiring life, brimming with love and her myriad contributions, will be planned for the spring of 2027. This gathering of love will bring together all those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her grace. Though she is no longer with us, Gloria's spirit remains vivid in our hearts, her legacy of love and kindness undiminished. May she rest in peace and be forever remembered with a smile and affection.
