Faith Renea Turner

On December 1, 2022, Faith Renea (Sposaro) Turner, devoted wife, loving and doting mother and grandmother, beloved daughter and sister, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends. Faith was born on August 27, 1965, at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, to Sal and Nelda Sposaro. Faith was a lifetime Anchor Bay area resident, graduating from Anchor Bay High School in 1983. While petite, Faith was giant in heart for family and friends. Faith's life revolved around her family and her children, inspiring each with love and devotion, backed with a quiet strength and sense of humor. Faith encouraged her children in all aspects of their lives, instilling commitment, fortitude, and resilience, coupled with empathy and compassion, whether in pursuit of academics, athletics, or extra-curricular excellence. Faith wanted selflessly; she only wanted the best for her children and to experience all life had to offer. Faith's unconditional love, inspiration, and selfless encouragement fostered the zest for life in her children. Faith's oldest daughter Meghan, a graduate of ABHS, studied Education at Western Michigan University, graduated, and is now an elementary school teacher in the Anchor Bay School District and a mother of three. Faith's son Adam, a graduate of ABHS, went on to study and graduate with a degree in the Psychology, from the University of Michigan. Adam continued his studies, earning a Master's in Dramatic Arts from the Actors Studio in New York, pursuing a career in Cinematic Arts. Her youngest, Emily, a graduate of ABHS, went on to study and graduate with a degree in Education from Central Michigan University, having studied abroad in Italy. Like her mother staying home to raise her children, Emily continues the legacy and tradition. In Faith's life, nothing could surpass her love for family, but her love for her five grandchildren gave her the continued strength to fight for every moment of life she could. Faith often said, "you never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have." The love of her family, especially her grandchildren, gave her unbridled strength. Faith exemplified what it meant to live an intentional, selfless life with her family, experiencing joy through the power of love. Faith exemplified what it meant to be a true and unconditional friend. If you were in Faith's orbit, you were family. Faith gladly suffered fools with patience, compassion, and a kind heart. Faith always made time for everyone important in her life, always lending a kind ear for advice, but never a pushover. Faith always was straightforward with her thoughts and opinions, never mixing words; she understood the benefit of honesty and tough love. Defiant to the end, Faith exemplified the DH Lawrence poem, "I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself." Faith's irreverence, love, and strength were in fine form even at the end, refusing to go quiet, bringing a smile and a sense of pride to those blessed and honored to be with her in her final days and hours. Faith will be truly missed but not forgotten, by so many, exemplifying the true meaning of her name. Faith's legacy continues through her husband, Dennis Turner; her children, Meghan (Bemis) and Jon Lembas and their children Bradley, Natalie, and Carter of New Baltimore; Adam Bemis and Lauren Epstein of Brooklyn, New York; and Emily (Bemis) and Zach Hite and their children, Jacob and Grace of New Baltimore; her parents, Salvator and Nelda Sposaro of Macomb, Michigan; and her brother Christopher Sposaro, his wife Sara Sposaro and their children Jacob and Morgan Sposaro, and Gibson Sposaro of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Memorial visitation will be on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 1:30 pm - 7 pm, at Wasik Funeral Home, located at 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore, Michigan. Her family will read a loving and meaningful eulogy at 6 pm.
