William Charles Woehler, Jr.

July 6, 1943 - April 5, 2021

Bedford Street will be a lot lonelier after the loss of a man who has walked it for over seventy years. William Charles Woehler was born July 6, 1943 to the wonderful William and Marion (Sepsey) Woehler of New Baltimore and passed away on April 5, 2021 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by loved ones. He was the beloved husband to Diana (Cogo) Woehler, devoted father to Jennifer (Jason), Kevin (Julie), and Jeffrey (Jennifer), and loving grandfather to Whitney, Vivian, Maialynne, and Finn. He was also a dear brother to Nancy (George) and Frances, brother-in-law to Linda (Edd), uncle to Trista, Meghan, Geordie, Avery, and Alec, and great uncle and cousin to many more. Like his father before him, he was the quintessential family man who loved spending quality time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and pets. And although he always called New Baltimore home, he enjoyed traveling locally and abroad with family and friends. Not only devoted to his family, he was also devoted to his country, having served in Vietnam in the US army. He also enjoyed a long career in Human Resources at Detroit Edison, all the while loving fishing, boating, sports, and even coaching AYSO on the side. And in most recent times, he was found cheering his granddaughters on from the sidelines. Ever so kind, patient, and loving, his character and constitution are to be revered and held in the highest regard, some may even say unparalleled. It is for these reasons, amongst others, that he is loved by so many and will be greatly missed by his family, many lifelong friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. There will be a private family, military burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in New Baltimore. Donations can be made to the Anchor Bay Community Foundation in his name.
