Victor William Vernier

May 6, 1938 - February 20, 2022

Victor William Vernier, age 83, passed away on February 20, 2022. Vic was born on May 6, 1938 to Victor and Elizabeth (Thompson) Vernier, the oldest of eight children. A lifelong resident of Fair Haven, MI and former owner of Vernier’s Marina, he was blessed with many gifts that he loved to share with all he knew. Vic graduated from St. Mary’s High School in New Baltimore, MI in 1956 and was a member of the Ira Township Volunteer Fire Department and a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church, Anchorville, MI. He is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Ellen, daughter and son-in-law, Geri and Michael McCann, grandchildren Marissa and Keith. Also surviving are his brothers, Richard, John, and Peter (Debbie), sisters, Jean (Paul) Corbat, Jane (Carl) Mount and Elizabeth (Brian) Cloutier, brother-in-law, Carl Latona and many loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who will greatly miss Uncle Vic. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Joan Latona. Visitation 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Wasik Funeral Home, Gendernalik Chapel, 35259-23 Mile Road, New Baltimore. Instate at 10:30 a.m. with 11:00 a.m. Mass on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Church, 9764 Dixie Highway, Ira. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
