Marilyn Roberta Smith

Marilyn Roberta Smith, Age 82 of Chesterfield, formerly of Southfield and Clarkston, passed away on March 13, 2022. Marilyn was born on May 20, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert and Mary (McArthur) Goodsir. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Bruce whom she was married to for 61 years. Proud mother to Barbara Smith, Robert Smith and Karen (Eric) Trombley and loving Nana to grandsons Zachary and Cooper. Marilyn was active throughout her life in the church - from Grace Presbyterian Church in Detroit in her youth, to Southfield Presbyterian Church, Community Presbyterian Church in Waterford and Mt Clemens Presbyterian Church in her adult years. Marilyn gave her time to teach Sunday school, participated in Women’s Circle, and was an Elder of the church. Her favorite was her mission trips to Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska with Bruce where they volunteered their services to the college. Visitation 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm., Friday, March 18, 2022 at Wasik Funeral Home, Gendernalik Chapel 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore.
