Lenore Ellen Bindek

Lenore Ellen "Pitty Pin" Bindek, age 89 of Harsens Island, passed away on November 8, 2021. Lenore was born on May 4, 1932 to Captain William H. and Lenore (nee Sullivan) Smith. Ellen and her husband Robert were married on October 1, 1955, and were married for 65 years. Ellen was an administrative assistant for Bundy Tubing in Mt. Clemens for 15 years. Ellen is survived by her daughter Mary Ellen (Michael) Kalkhoff, and sister Mary Ann Smith. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, son William and brother Patrick H. Smith. Visitation 3:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 12, 2021 at Gendernalik Funeral Home, 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore. Memorials may be made to the Harsens Island Historical Society.
