Lawrence E. McNutt

June 20, 1927 - February 14, 2022

Lawrence Eugene McNutt, age 94 of New Baltimore, Michigan, passed away on February 14, 2022. Larry was born on June 20, 1927, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to his parents Glenn L. and Ruth F. (Peterson) McNutt. Larry was a United States Army Veteran. A self-taught master mechanic on heavy road equipment for several years, he later became a Diagnostic Field Rep in his specialty area of heavy road equipment, and covered a five (5) state area at a time. During his later career years, Larry became a self-taught Union Millwright. This amazing man could fix anything and always made it better than brand new! He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Ruth, his brother Lester, the love of his life Adele (Beattie) McNutt, his only son, Glenn L. McNutt, his oldest daughter Sharon Schneider, Stepdaughter Adele Fromm, and Stepson, Richard Knight. He sadly leaves behind his daughters, Patricia (Larry) Sosnowski, Judith McNutt, and Ruth Diane McNutt Heiser. Stepchildren include, Terrence (Linda) Coates, Sheila (Douglas) Allen, Jeffrey (Donna) Yockey, and Michael (Cynthia) Yockey. He was a loving grandfather to 16 grandchildren, 12 Step-grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Larry, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a great grandfather was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation is 3:00 – 7:00 pm., with a 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service, Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel, 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
