Lawrence E. McGuire

October 6, 1934 - June 9, 2022

Lawrence E. McGuire passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the age of 87. He was born October 6, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to George and Elizabeth (nee Norlock) McGuire. Larry loved to golf. Whether he was with his boys out on a golf course or just friends he was truly enjoying every minute. Watching football was also another favorite past time. Larry was a true people person. He was always witty and welcoming to everyone. His contagious smile and zest made you feel as though you were a lifelong friend. His electric personality proved itself it his younger years as a truck driver. He really liked what he did. His passion to help people was obvious in all aspects of his life. From work, to friendships, to church events and especially his family he did whatever he could to help anyone who needed it. Larry's true love was his family. Spending time together, no matter the occasion or function, meant the world to him. The memories that were made will be held dearly in the heart of his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Words cannot not expression how much he will be missed but forever remembered and loved. Beloved husband of Katherine for almost 62 years. Dear dad "Pops" of Robert (Sandra), Nancy (Steve) Seib, John (Teri) and Michael. Loving grandpa of Anthony, Jenna, Justin, Christopher, Kathryn and Tucker. Precious great grandpa of Emma Rae. He was predeceased by his 2 brothers, Ken and Jack and his 2 sisters, Barbara and his twin sister, Mary Lou. Larry is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday 2-8 p.m. with a Rosary 7 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (west of Hoover) Warren. In state Monday 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 11 a.m. at St. Malachy Church, 14115 Fourteen Mile Road (between Schoenherr & Hayes) Sterling Heights. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery.
