Jodi Ann Lancaster

April 16, 1966 - April 15, 2022

Jodi Ann Lancaster (née Moravcik), 55, New Baltimore, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. Adored wife of Everitt. Proud mother of Olivia and Nicholas Ottenbacher and Grace Lancaster. Cherished daughter of Leonard and Fiorita Moravcik, née Coglianese. Sister to Brian Moravcik and Tracie (Dale) Geiger. Granddaughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Moravcik, Rita Swiderski and Ben Coglianese. Daughter-in-law to the late Mary (Betty) and Glen Lancaster and sister-in-law to Claudia (Jeff) Kampe, Rich (Mary) Lancaster, and Jolaine (Ken) Swartzendruber. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jodi was born on April 16, 1966 in Detroit, MI. Growing up on Harsens’s Island, she loved the outdoors and spent some of her happiest times boating with her family and playing on the lake. She was a very loving and supportive sister. She absolutely loved being a mom – and fiercely supported her kids in whatever they did. Extremely organized, Jodi kept everyone she loved on task and spent most of her working life as an executive assistant at Ascension Michigan. She treasured her family and her many, many friends. She truly loved her monthly get-togethers with the JUGs, and rarely missed one. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid Food Network fan. Jodi began her cancer journey in 2015 and fought with grace and strength, determined that cancer would not define her. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her, always looking for the silver lining. Jodi had a magnetic personality and was quick to laugh. She touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky enough to know her. Family and friends are welcome to a visitation Thursday, April 21 from 3 - 8 p.m. with a special message from Jodi to be read at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Friday, April 22 at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home-Gendernalik Chapel 35259 Twenty-three Mile Road, New Baltimore, MI 48047.
