Jerome "Jerry" Mieczkowski

December 9, 1943 - February 4, 2022

Jerome "Jerry" Mieczkowski, of Warren, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, at the age of 78. He was born December 9, 1943 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late Leo and Eleanor Pesta. Beloved husband of Diane. Dearest father of Brian (Sarah), Lorie (Andrew) Wiegand, and the late Karen. Loving grandfather of Marlana and Morgan Mieczkowski and Madison and Luke Wiegand. Dear brother of Gary (Arleen), Leon, Gerard, the late Marvin (the late Christine), the late Cynthia (the late Robert) McFarlen, the late Camille Kurkules, the late Mark and brother-in-law of Edward (Mary) Tokarz and the late Ronald (the late Cynthia) Tokarz. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Jerry faithfully and honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army. He is remembered as a devoted family man who was adored by his grandchildren and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Jerry had a sweet tooth for donuts, chocolate, and ice cream. Undoubtedly his family will continue to find hidden wrappers and candies in the time to come, and will remind them of fond memories of Jerry. He was a truly loved man and will be deeply missed. Visitation Tuesday 2-8 p.m. with an evening scripture service at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (West of Hoover) Warren. Instate Wednesday 10 a.m. until a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 Twelve Mile Road (East of Schoenherr) Warren. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
