James Thomas Collins

James Thomas Collins, age 75 of Chesterfield, passed away January 1, 2022. James was born on June 9, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Evelyn (LaFray) Collins. On March 23, 1968, James married Josephine Oliverio. Josephine passed away on December 23, 1993. James proudly served in the U.S. Marines. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and was a volunteer firefighter with the Chesterfield Fire Department. James enjoyed being with family and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Loving father of Thomas, Julie (Michael) Rickel, Steven (Denise) Collins and Jaime Collins. Dear grandfather of Christian Rickel, Andrew Rickel, Mary Caporuscio, Frank Collins, Joe Collins, Steve Collins. Dear brother of Deanne (Nick) Talantis, Susan Collins, John (Molly) Collins, Bill (Ruth) Collins, Margaret Lucero and Fran Lautner. Memorials may be made to the Josephine Collins Scholarship Fund at L'Anse Creuse High School in Harrison Township. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
