Francis (Frank) Gerard Carly, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2021. He was the husband of Mary Gaye Carly. They shared 61 years of marriage together. Frank was born in Detroit, Michigan, was the son of the late Felix and Alphonsine Carly. He attended Denby High School and was employed at Hall Industries (Strelinger) for 33 years and finished his career with Theut Products. He also served his country in the United States Army. He was a life member of the AmVets Post 52, where he served on many boards. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2784. Throughout his lifetime, Frank participated in many fundraisers and volunteered for several organizations. He was also a volunteer fire fighter for many years at the Chesterfield Township Fire Department. Frank had several hobbies. He especially loved planting and working in his garden. He discovered a talent of wood carving later in his life, and won several awards for his work. Stamp and coin collecting was also something he enjoyed very much. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered by many, as always being quick witted or having a one liner. He is survived by this wife, Mary Gaye (Fuerst). Children, Michael (Lori), Michelle (Wesley), and Mark (Krin). Grandchildren, Troy (Kayla), and Meredith. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on May 16, 2021 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 7542 Palms Road, Ira Township. Memorial contributions can be made to Blue Water Hospice House in Marysville.
