Evelyn Mae Sadlowski

Evelyn Mae Sadlowski, age 87 of Ira Township, passed away July 9, 2021. Evelyn was born on August 28, 1933 in Fair Haven, Michigan to Herbert and Esther (Beutel) Hintzman. Evelyn married Norbert Sadlowski on September 18, 1954 at Immaculate Conception Church. Beloved wife of the late Norbert. Dear mother of Bonnie Frick, Rob (Deb) Sadlowski, Jeffrey (Lucia) Sadlowski, Glenn Sadlowski and Amy (Pat) McBrien. Loving grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings Ruth, Harvey, Marvin and Gladys. Evelyn lived a full life with passions including singing with the Sweet Adelines chorus, swimming, playing cards, gardening, was active with the AMVETS, and loved spending time at the family's cabin in Mio. Evelyn had a strong sense of family and community. Throughout her life she cared for her aging friends and relatives and lived nearby her extended and immediate family. She and her four siblings were neighbors who built homes on their family's land in Fair Haven. She and Norbert built their home on the spot where they were engaged and she could see the house where she was born from her kitchen window. Visitation Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Visitation 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Gendernalik Funeral Home, 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Anchorville.
