Elaine Nell Ewald, of St. Clair Shores, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the age of 81. She was born November 2, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Frank and Charlotte Ewald. Dearest sister of Richard (Ruby) Ewald and the late Ronald (Alice) Ewald. Loving godmother of Donna (Ronald) Latouf. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and coworkers. Elaine was a long time employee of St. Francis Hospital and later Holy Cross Hospital. She also worked for over 30 years for the Detroit Red Wings as an usher at Olympia, Joe Louis Arena, and Little Caesars Arena. Elaine was also a longtime and devoted parishioner of St. Hyacinth Church. Visitation Wednesday 2-8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Rosary at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (West of Hoover) Warren. Instate Thursday 9:30 a.m. until a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 3151 Farnsworth Street (at McDougall) Detroit. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.
