Denise Ruth Tesmer

September 22, 1947 - October 28, 2021

Denise Ruth Tesmer, age 74 a resident of Clay Township since 1972, passed away on October 28, 2021. Denise was born on September 22, 1947 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to George and Greta (Zerk) DeFer. In 1967, Denise met Michael Tesmer and they were married on August 31, 1968. As a 40-year employee of Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Denise worked in various positions and retired as a Regional Manager of Communication Services. She loved spending time with her family, and was also a Master Gardener whose backyard was filled with beautiful flower beds and a well-cared for vegetable garden. Denise spent many years on a local bowling league with her girlfriends, and she and her husband enjoyed several trips together snowmobiling up north with friends as well as to Las Vegas and Florida. Denise is survived by her beloved husband Michael, caring daughter Tracey (Doug) Stelkic, loving son Michael (Katie) Tesmer, and dear grandchildren Josh, Christian, Luke and Faith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Memorial Visitation 2:30-7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Gendernalik Funeral Home, 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore.
