CoraEllen DeVinney Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

CoraEllen DeVinney, age 94 of New Baltimore, passed away on October 11, 2021. CoraEllen was the Director of the Macomb County Library for 25 years and the Director of the City of Troy Library for 10 years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the First Congregational Church in New Haven, where she played the organ and was the Choir Director and she also attended the First Congregational Church in New Baltimore. CoraEllen volunteered at the McLaren Macomb Hospital Library and the MacDonald Public Library. Beloved wife of the late Clarence "C.R." DeVinney. Loving mother of Laura Kuhn and Gordon (Brian Anderson) DeVinney. Dear grandmother of Christopher (Julie) Kuhn, Robert Kuhn, James Kuhn and great-grandmother of Oliver Kuhn. Also, survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also "Mom" for a year each to two German exchange students, Thomas Biehl and Cord Welling. Predeceased by her parents James and Helen Anthony and her brothers Harrie Anthony and Richard Anthony. Visitation 3:30 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Gendernalik Funeral Home, 35259 23 Mile, New Baltimore. Instate at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at First Congregational Church, 58801 Main Street, New Haven. Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church in New Haven or the First Congregational Church in New Baltimore.
