August Jerome “Gus” Konieczki, passed away on July 11, 2021 in Clinton Township, Michigan at the age of 81. He was born December 30, 1939 in Detroit to August and Cecilia Konieczki. Loving husband of the late Maxine and the late Betty Ciaramitaro. Dear father of Michael, Nichole (Rick) Orkisz, Matthew, Nancy (Bill Brazeau), Michele (Daniel) Glinn, Mark (Stacey) Narduzzi, Michael (Cheryl) Narduzzi, and Matthew (Colleen) Narduzzi. Dear grandfather of Douglas, Sydney, Ella, Angela, Jessica, Melissa, Christina, Maria, Dominic, and Gianna. Dear brother of the late Evelyn (the late John) Madynski and the late Lucille (the late Anthony) Jaworski. He will also be sadly missed by many loving nieces and nephews. Gus proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1958 to 1961. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers donations to American Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Visitation Friday, July 16, 2021 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home, 49150 Schoenherr Rd. (north of 22 Mile) Shelby Twp. Funeral Saturday instate at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthias Catholic Church 12509 19 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313 until time of Mass 10:30 a.m.
