April 30, 1980 - March 24, 2021
Our beautiful daughter, Amber Leigh Smaha, age 40, passed away on Wednesday March 24, 2021. Amber was born on April 30, 1980 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Amber was many things; intelligent, creative, funny, loving, caring, strong, fearless, and beautiful inside and out. She had the ability to light up a dark room with just her smile and tendency to make you laugh anytime you were around her. Although she lived a short life, she was able to accomplish many things; she achieved her dream of performing at Mark Ridleys Comedy Castle with her father, Mark; taught herself Japanese, traveled to many places including New York and Mexico; toured the home of one of her favorite movies, The Christmas Story. She enjoyed reading, cooking, music, painting, fashion, interior design and most importantly movies. One of her favorite past times would be to watch movies with white cheddar popcorn. She loved nature, rainbows, and thunderstorms. She loved her family. Her nephews were her world. And even though her time with them was limited, she will shine down on them always. Amber was one of those people who knew exactly who she was and what she wanted. She was confident, assertive, and always put others before herself. She cared deeply for her family and friends. Amber’s sense of humor and wittiness was what made her stand out, her smile made her shine. She had the ability to cheer everyone up and make a whole room laugh. Amber had so much goodness, brought so much happiness to others. Amber touched the lives of so many and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She has blessed our lives with her infectious laugh, humor, and smile. Our beloved daughter leaves us smiling through our tears. She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; Harry & Glenna Kennedy, and Ralph & Ann Smaha. Amber is survived by her loving parents Mark & Kathy Smaha; Sisters, Kristin Bronson (Matt), Jennifer Scanlan (Bryan); Nephews she loved immensely, Mason & Landon Bronson, and Oakley Scanlan; Uncle, Mike Clarkson; Cousins, Amanda & Kyle Clarkson; and great aunts, great uncles, and many friends.
