Wayne G. Bell

Wayne G. Bell, Founder & Owner of Bell Forklift, Inc. and Anchor Bay Marina, Inc. passed away peacefully, Monday, October 17th, 2022, in his New Baltimore home, on Lake Saint Clair. Wayne was born on January 29, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, and was a long-time resident of both Michigan and Florida. He went to be with his Lord at the age of 75. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lynn L. Bell, sister Mary-Lynn, six children, Rhonda, Kristen, Gail, Robert, Tracy, and Tyler, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many relatives, nieces and nephews. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, George F. Bell and Rosemary I. Ingrao, and brother/business partner, Bob Bell, among other relatives, aunts, and uncles. Wayne was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a well-known, respected, hard-working patriot, a humble mentor to his employees and community, and a generous, charitable man to many local and international organizations. He was compassionate, quick-witted, innovative and a man of God. Wayne was an avid fisherman and boater since the age of 12 and shared his love of the water with so many. Wayne will be laid to rest on Monday, October 24, 2022. The family will receive guests from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., at Wasik Funeral Home in New Baltimore, Michigan. A brief prayer service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Kidney Foundation, Cancer Foundation, and McQuade Society with Ascension St. John’s Hospital. Bell Forklift, a Michigan staple in the material handling industry, recently celebrated its 50th-anniversary milestone as a President’s Award-winning Toyota dealership. Wayne began his business in the back of his garage in the early 1970s. In 1972, Wayne Bell officially joined forces with his brother Bob Bell, to establish what is known as Bell Forklift Incorporated. Wayne was loved and respected for creating a lasting family-oriented business that continues to thrive and maintain its stronghold on the Michigan material handling industry through the succession of hardworking, dedicated family members and employees. This strong community and his legacy will live on through existing, loyal leadership and family. Wayne passes on a thriving business and the love of sharing life on the water with family and friends.
