VINCENZA (VICKY) STABNICK Beloved Wife, Mother, and Nonna; Vicky Stabnick passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2023, at home in Chesterfield, Michigan. She was 77 years old. Vicky is survived by her husband Michael; her three sons Michael (wife Amy), Steven (wife Carolyn), and Timothy (wife Carrie); five grandchildren, Austin, Madison, Branden, Ethan, and Kennedy. Vicky was predeceased by her father Louis, her mother Matilde, and her brother Fernando Farneti. Vicky was born on August 3, 1945, in Sigillo, Italy. She came to America at a very early age with her father (Louis), her mother (Matilde), and brother (Fernando) Farneti. She grew up in Detroit before moving to Warren. Not too long after high school, she married the love of her life, Michael Stabnick on February 18, 1967, started a family and lived in Sterling Heights for many years. Vicky finished her career working for Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Fraser. After her retirement, she moved to Chesterfield and she and Michael had a beautiful home built, where family and friends gathered many times for wonderful Italian meals and enjoyed each other’s company. She was a wonderful Nonna that loved babysitting and just spending time with all her grandchildren. Vicky’s favorite hobbies were being with her husband Michael (married 56 years), cooking (especially Italian), taking care of her yard, golfing, playing cards, watching her favorite TV shows, and having her family close. Family meant the world to Vicky, and she always wanted to make sure everyone was happy first, just as her mother taught her. Vicky was the family rock and supported everyone with her wonderful advice. She was a feisty, fun spirited Italian soul who loved family first. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Her presence was stunning, and it lit up the room. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She was kind and compassionate. She made an impact on many lives and anyone who knew her knew she had the biggest, kindest heart and soul. She will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts. Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial visitation on Thursday, May 18th from 1:30 – 8:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service at 7:00 p.m. which will be held at Wasik Funeral Home – Gendernalik Chapel, 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore, Michigan 48047.
