Nelda Joyce Sposaro

Nelda Joyce Sposaro, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility. She was 82 years old. Nelda was born on December 13, 1943, in the small town of Coal City, West Virginia, to her loving parents, Charles Luke McGraw and Hatie Mae (Cree) McGraw, who preceded her in death. Nelda’s early years were marked by the values of hard work and devotion to family, values she carried throughout her life. On October 3, 1964, Nelda married her soulmate, Salvator Sposaro, beginning a beautiful journey together that spanned over six decades. Their enduring love and partnership stood as a testament to all who were fortunate enough to witness it. Salvator remains in Chesterfield Township, cherishing their memories. Professionally, Nelda dedicated herself as an Office Manager, a role in which she excelled and took great pride. Her hardworking nature and meticulous attention to detail were evident in all her endeavors. Nelda was a loving and devoted mother to Christopher (Sara), Dallas (Julie) Felder, and the late Faith (Dennis) Turner. Her nurturing spirit extended to her beloved grandchildren: Meghan (Jon) Lembas, Adam (Lauren) Bemis, Emily (Zach) Hite, Jacob (Morgan) Sposaro, and Gibson Sposaro. She embraced her role as great-grandmother to Bradley, Natalie, Carter, Jacob, Grace, Stevie, Winnie, and Jack, filling their lives with warmth and joy. Dear sister of Sheila (Joe), Mitzi and Rocky. Nelda is deeply missed by her siblings: Mabel (James) Brooks, Charles “Dewitt” (Beulah) McGraw, James (Anna) McGraw, Colleen (Raymond), Shirley (JR) Farley, and Larry (Barbara) McGraw, Nelda's passing leaves a profound void, but her legacy of love and kindness will endure in the hearts of her extended family and her many friends. A memorial visitation to celebrate Nelda's life will be announced at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the indelible mark she left on their lives. In this time of loss, the Sposaro family finds comfort in the many memories shared and the profound impact Nelda had on everyone she met. Her unwavering love and boundless generosity will not be forgotten. A memorial visitation for Nelda will be on Saturday, August 22 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Wasik Funeral Home- Gendernalik Chapel, 35259 23 Mile Rd. New Baltimore.
