Lisa Marie Wheeler

Lisa Marie Wheeler, 52, of New Baltimore, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, after a life defined by love, strength, and an unwavering devotion to the people she cared for most. Born on June 4, 1974, Lisa was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She shared 33 beautiful years with her husband, Gregg Wheeler, and they were married for 30 of those years. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, memories, and countless moments that will forever be treasured. Lisa was, above all else, a mother through and through. Her daughters, Shelby and Madison, were at the heart of her world. But her love for others extended far beyond her own family. Lisa had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged. She was a mom to everyone, a friend to all, and the person people could turn to when they needed someone they could trust. She was known for her kind and genuine heart, her fierce spirit, her sense of humor, and her willingness to stand up for what she believed in. Lisa was strong in ways that cannot always be put into words. She faced many battles throughout her life, including difficult health challenges, yet time and time again, she fought her way through them. Even when she was struggling herself, she continued to worry about and care for the people around her. Taking care of others was simply who Lisa was. Lisa found joy in the little things. She loved watching television, listening to music, dancing, and expressing herself through crafting and creativity. She had a creative spirit and a gift for making things special. Her laughter, her strength, her honesty, and the love she so freely gave will remain with everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Schulte. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 30 years, Gregg Wheeler; her beloved daughters, Shelby (Katelyn) Tranchida and Madison Wheeler (Austin Bogdanski); her father, James Schulte; her brother, Scott (Danielle) Schulte; her three nieces, Mackenzie Lynn, Alexa, Mackenzie Ray; and countless cousins, family members and friends whose lives were touched by her love and friendship. Lisa's greatest legacy will not be measured by things she accomplished or possessions she left behind, but by the people she loved and the lives she made better simply by being in them. She gave so much of herself to others, and her presence will be deeply missed. Though her time with us was far too short, the love Lisa gave will never be. Visitation for Lisa will be on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 7:00 p.m. with a share a memory service at 4:00 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel, 3529 23 Mile Rd. New Baltimore
