Leo Arthur Rinke

Leo Arthur Rinke February 6, 1953-January 15, 2024 Leo was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and grew up in Sterling Heights, later becoming a longtime resident of Ira. He is pre-deceased by his mother, Lorraine Rinke (Jackson), his father, Elmer “Speed” Rinke, and his older brother, Elmer “Sonny” Rinke. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Rinke, his loving daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Lukas Speer, and his two beautiful grandchildren, Nina and Marco Speer, as well as many loving family members and friends. Leo was the proud owner of Pattern Engineering where he was known throughout his business community for his precision, attention to detail, and honest and humble nature. His shop also became a gathering place for his friends as they worked on projects together and shared stories about life. Leo also had a great passion for racing boats, inventing parts to make them go as fast as possible, and riding his motorcycle on a sunny day. Above all else, Leo loved his family and friends. His greatest joy came from spending time with them, whether sharing a meal, enjoying a holiday, building something, or just relaxing and being together. Leo’s heart was always full when he had his circle of family and friends surrounding him. He was eternally grateful for the relationships he formed throughout his life, and would wish for all of his loved ones to find peace in the fact that he cherished them as much as they cherished him. Leo’s determination and indomitable spirit will never be forgotten. His memory will remain forever in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched. Memorial Visitation 2:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Wasik Funeral Home, 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore. Memorial Service 10:00 - 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2024 in the funeral home. Luncheon to follow the services at 12:30 PM at Louis’ Chop House in Chesterfield.
