Kali Andra Meesseman

Life is short and precious, and while we feel there is never enough time on the Earth we walk, when your journey is complete, you are called home. Kali Andra Meesseman completed her journey on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in West Bloomfield, MI. Kali is survived by her parents Scott and Crystal (Joe), her brother Andrew, Grandparents Harry and Debbie Rice, Paul and Lynn Meesseman; Uncle Eric (Kristy) Meesseman, Uncle Harry “Rusty” (Keith) Rice, cousins Maya, Sierra and Ian, and her soul mate Brandon George. Kali forever changed the lives of her parents Scott and Crystal on May 6, 1996, when she came into their lives and they became a family of 3. Not but a few short years later, Kali was able to gain the title of “Big Sister” when her little brother Andrew joined their family. Kali was an amazingly protective sister, and Andrew’s biggest supporter. While she was never the loudest voice in the room, she unequivocally was the most creative, intelligent and interesting young lady in the room. Her passion for all animals was almost contagious to anyone near her, or who had the opportunity to listen to her talk about them. She started equestrian riding at 5 years old, winning an impressive amount of ribbons and awards doing so. She made it look effortless, but then again, when you are doing something you love so much, doing it becomes effortless. As she grew up, she spread that passion for animals over to her other pets such as her beloved dogs “Magic” and “Phoenix”, her ferret, and most recently her chickens. Kali tended to and cared for all her animals with such love, it would be hard to not recognize that Kali herself was the most compassionate and loving woman. This world we live in can be cold and harsh, but Kali always found peace and happiness with her animals because those creatures would only show her love…and never judgement. Her creative flair for photography, hair, makeup, gardening, and cooking has always been admired by family and friends. She never stopped trying to learn more, be better and grow herself spiritually and intellectually. Her father plopped her behind some very high-tech computers at a young age and in true Kali fashion…opened her mind, and became extremely gifted in graphics, and even pursued a degree in Graphic Design. Her natural artistic flow didn’t stop there, and she branched out into drawing (particularly, her beloved horses), writing and journaling. Kali was a free spirit who found comfort and peace in things that so many others overlook. In her struggles with depression over the years, these small comforts kept her going and gave her purpose to continue to find other talents and hobbies to grow herself, such as her newfound passion around growing exotic mushrooms, and mapping out where she could find the best Morrells in Michigan. In the most recent years, Kali found her partner, Brandon, who encouraged and supported her dreams. Together, they began to a create a life that you could just see Kali blossom and be the happiest she has ever been. She didn’t know how many hearts she touched in her short life, and never knew the amount of love that has always surrounded her. We will be celebrating Kali’s life on Friday 4/28/2023 1:00 – 2:00pm for family only, followed by public visitation from 2:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral will be Saturday 4/29/2023 at 11:00am (10:00am for family only), followed by a procession to Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp, MI. Immediately following will be a luncheon at Orleans in Mt.
