Jeffrey C. Narozny

Jeffrey Charles Narozny was born on January 12, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on March 6, 2023 in Troy, Michigan at the age of 58. Loving son of the late Charles and Florence. Dear brother of Nancy (Jim) Hartley, Betty (Bob) Gonko, Carolyn (Dennis) Narozny-Shaw, Patricia (Jim) Narozny-Sobczak, and the late Gary Narozny and Carol Narozny. Dear uncle of Taylor, and Christopher (Annie) and great uncle of Ziggy. Dear Godson of Colette Chadwick and loving Godfather of Samantha Alexis (Jones) Mannino. Visitation Friday March 17, 2023, from 4-8 pm with sharing of memories and a closing prayer beginning at 7:30 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home, 49150 Schoenherr Rd. (N. of 22 Mile Rd.), Shelby Twp. Instate Saturday 9:30 am until a 10 am funeral mass at Christ, Our Light! Catholic Church, 3077 Glouchester Dr., Troy, Michigan 48084. Jeff attended St. Brendan’s and Guardian Angels grade schools and De La Salle Collegiate High School in Detroit, Michigan. He followed in his father’s and Uncle Mike’s footsteps and excelled as a professional portrait and wedding photographer since 1980. Photography was his life. Originally trained by his late father, Charles, as his darkroom assistant (starting at the ripe age of 10) for his father’s photography business on weekday evenings and weekends. Was Fox Portrait Studio’s top photographer at age 19. Jeffrey pursued photography in college, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from a combined curriculum at College for Creative Studies (Detroit) and School of The Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Following college, Jeffrey pursued a career in editorial, commercial product and automotive photography, where he most recently held a full-time staff position as a test photographer with Stellantis, a global mobility company. Throughout his diverse 40+ year professional photography career, Jeff has maintained his roots as a wedding photographer, successfully covering a total of more than 1,500 weddings, not to mention countless various company events, conferences and seminars for national and international corporate clients as well. He created lifetime memories for hundreds of families and business professionals. He is the owner of Jeffrey Charles Photography, Inc. and Metro Detroit Photo. Jeff was an avid sports fan … he loved watching the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Pistons, March Madness and especially watching his nephew Chris play with the Purdue basketball team. He loved spending time with his nephew Taylor especially going to the movies and sports events. He was very spiritual and would attend mass with his sister Betty and her husband Bob followed by dinner when he wasn’t working on the weekends. He was a member of the Birmingham Racquet Club where he played tennis and was a very good bowler too. Jeff loved and respected all types of music. Jeff was always willing to help if needed. He assisted his sister Patty, producer of the annual Orchard Lake Fine Art Shows in West Bloomfield, Michigan. He also participated and donated his photography services to the Kelly J. Price (KJP) Memorial Bowling Party from 2001-2022 at which $403K was raised in support of 18 various metropolitan Detroit children’s charities. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jeff loved his family and his friends. The family thanks you all for being a part of his life.
