Jeannine Anna Grzywacz

Jeannine Anna Grzywacz, of Detroit, died on Tuesday morning, January 24, 2017, at the Henry Ford Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan and was surrounded by her family when she passed. Jeannine was born on January 9th, 1929 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Joseph and Anna Perkowski. She was united in marriage to Thomas Joseph Grzywacz, Sr. on May 1, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan. He preceded her in death on October 20th, 2004. They were married for 50 jubilant years. She loved to read, especially autobiographies of all sorts and was a woman of faith as an active parishioner of St Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Shelby Township, Michigan. Although she was accepted to the University of Michigan she decided to earn a Domestic Engineering degree at home. She was rewarded with seven beautiful children. She picked up golf later in life and enjoyed it immensely. She volunteered her time with several local charities as well as being a devoted grandmother and caretaker. Her life is continuing to be celebrated through her children, their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren: Son - Thomas Joseph Grzywacz, Jr. with his wife Pamella Grandchildren: Thomas, III and his wife Natalie, and David Great Grandchildren: Ava and Nathan Son – Vincent Grzywacz with his fiancée Terri Grandchild: Vincent, II Son - Steven Grzywacz Daughter – Anne Marie Melnik with her husband Maxim Grandchild – Anastasia Son – James Grzywacz Grandchildren – Taylor and Christopher Son – George Grzywacz with his wife Jackie Grandchildren: George, Jr, Joseph, and Luke Daughter - Jacquelyn Grzywacz-Brito with her husband Ernie Grandchildren: Samantha and Justin She would always say, “life isn’t easy, but it’s a great ride”, and we are all saddened to lose such an exemplary individual that only showed her family unconditional love. We celebrate her life today and are so thankful that we had this time and grateful she was able to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren for her 88th birthday. If roses grow in heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Mother’s arms And tell her they’re from me. Tell her that we love her and miss her, And when she turns to smile, Place a kiss upon her cheek And hold her for awhile. Because remembering her is easy, We do it every day, But there’s an ache within our hearts That will never go away.
