Jacqueline Joan Wojcik

Jacqueline “Jackie” J. Wojcik was born on January 28, 1941, in Hamtramck, Michigan, to John and Ann Bawol. She passed away on September 5, 2025, at the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility in Battle Creek, Michigan. Jackie was a woman who lived simply but loved deeply. She took great pride in her Polish and Ukrainian heritage, especially through the meals she prepared for her family. Cooking was one of her greatest joys, and she found happiness in gathering loved ones around the table. Her most important role in life was as a stay-at-home mother, where she devoted herself to raising her sons and creating a warm, loving home. She was especially proud of the men they became and the families they built. Later, Jackie worked outside the home in several roles, from JCPenney at Eastland Mall to a podiatrist’s office, and eventually alongside her son, Anthony in his dental practice. In every stage of her life, her devotion to her family shone through in her care and commitment. Her greatest pride and joy, however, was always her family. Jackie was a loving mother and a wonderful grandmother, and nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she gave so freely. She is the beloved mother of Michael (Holly) Wojcik and Anthony (Shari) Wojcik; loving grandmother of Rachel (Alex) Hagel, Rebecca (Andrew) Sohn, Sarah Wojcik, Jack Wojcik, Kenny (fiancée Jessica Woodside) Wojcik, and Seth Wojcik; and the dear sister of Barbara (the late William) Gowland, Michaelene Katzer, and the late Geraldine Boudreau-Kizy. She was also a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3–8 PM, with a Rosary at 7 PM, at Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 49150 Schoenherr Rd. (north of 22 Mile Rd.), Shelby Twp. Jackie will lie in state on Saturday at 10 AM until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 54045 Schoenherr Rd. (north of 24 Mile Rd.), Shelby Twp.
