Gordon J. Felczak

Gordon J. Felczak, of Sterling Heights, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the age of 81. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 19, 1941 to John and Rose (nee Manzo) Felczak. Gordon was raised in Detroit and attended St. Stanislaus Grade School and High School graduating in 1959. He was proud of his Polish heritage and enjoyed sharing stories and talking about the "Old Neighborhood". Gordon was a longtime employee of Chrysler. After he retired from Chrysler he wasn't quite ready to stop working. He joined the staff at Wasik Funeral Home and worked many nights during visitation for almost 10 years. Through the years Gordon was a friendly face as visitors came through the doors to visit loved ones and friends. Gordon was a member of St. Ephrem Catholic Church in Sterling Heights and member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree - Msgr. John T. Gordon Council. He was very active with the K of C and shopping for the children at Christmas time was one of his highlights. Gordon enjoyed life. He was always positive, never complaining, a warm comforting smile and a chuckle that would brighten your day. He enjoyed talking about sports, especially if they were about his grandchildren. Most conversations began with one of many highlights of how well his grandsons did in a recent game. Gordon's family was his life. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren and spending time with them brought him his greatest joy. He would say that growing older wasn't always easy, but with his Jo by his side they would get through it together. Beloved husband of 59 loving years of Georigan "Jo". Loving dad of Gail Felczak, Grace (Ron) Alderson and Gordie (Deana) Felczak. Proud grandpa of Benjamin, Gordon and Dominic. Dear brother of Michael (Ann), David (Sharon), Gregory (Margie), Jerry (Jane) and the late Douglas and the late Susie. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation Thursday 1-8 p.m. with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (west of Hoover) Warren. Instate Friday 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 11 a.m. at St. Ephrem Catholic Church, 38900 Dodge Park Road (corner of 17 Mile) Sterling Heights. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
