Gloria J. Vitale

Gloria J. Vitale, of Warren, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the age of 81. She was born September 24, 1944 in Detroit. "Born In an Austin!" the newspaper headline proudly declared, as Gloria was born in her father’s 1929 American Austin Bantam automobile en route to St. Mary’s hospital. She is the beloved wife of Roman. Loving mother of Ramona (David) and Joseph. Dearest sister of Raymond (Linda), John, Alan, Dennis, (the late Joyce), Nancy, Pam, Janice, Anita, and Tammy; cherished step-sister of Michael, Nicky, Verna and Mary. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and family. Preceded in death by her parents Albert (the late Rita) and Betty (the late Carl). To know Gloria was to love her, and she was quite simply loved by everybody. Her world revolved around her family and was happiest when her home was filled with laughter, storytelling, and the joy of togetherness. The holidays were one of her favorite times of the year - a time when she could bring everyone together under one roof, share a meal, and create memories that her family would cherish forever. Gloria also had a profound and innate love for children, and was captivated by the magic of holding of a sleeping infant or playing and laughing with kids. Her youthful spirit made her a natural with children of all ages. When she wasn't busy doting on her family, she could be found tracing her roots. Gloria had a passion for genealogy and meticulously researched family histories to ensure the stories and heritage of the past were preserved for future generations. She was also incredibly active and enjoyed cleaning and putzing around the house, and always had her vacuum and whisk broom nearby, making sure everything was "just right". Outdoors, she would spend countless hours gardening, walking around the neighborhood, socializing with neighbors, and visiting her beloved "grand-furbabies," Gracie, Ginger, and Louie. Above all, Gloria cherished time spent with her beloved husband Roman. One of their favorite past times was classic cars and going to shows and events; whether it was the Woodward Dream Cruise, or local car shows that would pop-up in the community, Gloria and Roman loved spending time admiring the beauty of classic cars and Gloria would never tire of watching them do burnouts! Gloria is a dearly loved woman who will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege and pleasure to know her.
