Geraldine Ratliff

Geraldine L. Ratliff, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home in Cottrellville Township, Michigan on December 17, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on Long Island, New York on December 13, 1952, Geraldine lived a fulfilling life marked by passion, talent, and unwavering love for her family. Geraldine is survived by her devoted husband of many years, Charles Edward Ratliff, her adored daughter Elizabeth Homiak and her husband James, her loving son Charles Ratliff and his wife Amanda, and her cherished grandchildren, Adam and Victoria. She also leaves behind her dear sister Barbara Efre and Barbara's husband Juan. Geraldine joined her late sister, Jamie Manzo, and their parents, James and Antoinette Williams (née Acario), in eternal rest. A talented musician, Geraldine found joy in music as a vocalist and guitar player, gracing numerous venues with her performances. Her music was a source of happiness not only to her but also to all who had the privilege of listening. Her artistic skills extended beyond music into crochet, where she crafted beautiful works with skillful hands. Among her many hobbies, she found great pleasure in reading and baking, often filling her home with the comforting aroma of freshly baked cakes and sweets to celebrate countless family gatherings. In her professional life, Geraldine dedicated her years to the Fraser School District as a cherished librarian. Her gentle spirit and kind heart made her a beloved figure among her colleagues and students. Despite her professional accomplishments, Geraldine's most treasured role was that of a "stay-home" mom, where she poured her soul into nurturing and loving her family. Her legacy is one of love, creativity, and warmth, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to friends and extended family for their support and condolences during this difficult time. Visitation for Gerry will be on Friday, Dec. 26th from 3 pm until 7 pm at the Wasik Funeral Home, Gendernalik Chapel 35259 23 Mile Rd. (New Baltimore) Memorial visitation Saturday Dec. 27th from 9:30 am until 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 9764 Dixie Hwy, Ira Twp.
