Frances Zuziak

Frances Zuziak, of Roseville, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born March 11, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Frank and Josephine Scalabrino. Beloved wife of the late Alphonse. Dearest mother of Vince (Elaine) McGuire, Carl McGuire Jr., and Paul (Cynthia) McGuire. Loving grandmother of Theresa (Jon) Fitzgerald, Gina McGuire, Meghan (Kat) Victor, Erin McGuire, Tyrone Hadrian, Derek (Stephanie) Hadrian, Nicole (Don) Hadrian, Frances McGuire, Carl McGuire, and the late Christopher McGuire; great-grandmother of Sahvanna (fiancé Vasko) McSwain, Dylan Hadrian, Sierra Hadrian, Bradley Hadrian, Zachary Hadrian, Finnegan Lockridge, Noah Fitzgerald, Hunter Johnson, and Avery Victor; great-great grandmother of 1 on the way. Cherished Godmother of Patty Tilson. Preceded in death by her siblings the late Angie George, the late Barbara (the late Gasper) Ferlito, the late Sadie (the late Bernie) DeSantis, and the late Vince (Kim) Scalabrino. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and family members. A lifelong member of the VFW Auxiliary Club, Frances was a constant presence at the local post and understood the importance of honoring those who served our country. Her commitment to community extended to the Italian-American Cultural Club, where she celebrated her roots and traditions of her Italian heritage. To know Frances was to be fed by her. She was a master in the kitchen, a place where she expressed her love by nourishing her family and friends. Whether it was the flaky crust of her legendary pies, or the delicate, sweet filling of her homemade cannoli, Frances always made sure nobody left her home hungry. When she wasn't in the kitchen, you could often times find Frances at the Bingo Hall, sharing laughs and making friends over a lucky card. Above all else, Frances was a fiercely loving mother, the kind of mother that had her children's backs, no matter the circumstances. Her children always knew that they had more than just a Mom in her, they had a friend, protector, and confidante. She was a dearly loved woman who will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her. Visitation Monday, January 5, 2026, from 2-8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Rosary at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (West of Hoover) Warren. Instate Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 10 a.m. until an 11 a.m. funeral service at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church, 22360 13 Mile Road (West of Greater Mack) St. Clair Shores. Interment Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township, Michigan.
