Emery Joseph Archambault

Emery Joseph Archambault, age 81 of Chesterfield Township, passed away on August 7,2023. Emery was born on June 12, 1942 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late John Archambault and the late Geraldine Emery Archambault. He was a 1961 graduate from Assumption College School in Ontario and worked as a tool and die maker for many years retiring from Hercules Tool & Die in Warren, Michigan. On May 1, 1965, Emery married the love of his life, Gail P. Clement. Gail passed away on March 6, 2002. Loving father of Roger Archambault, the late Rodney Archambault and Dorene (Doug) Ingalls. Cherished grandfather of Jackson Emery Ingalls and Jonathan Delbert Ingalls. Dear brother of the late Roger Archambault, Joan “Shorty” Archambault (Daniel Mercier) Lee, Dennis and (Suzanne Rodgers) Archambault, and Marie "Annette" Thompson. Dear uncle of Laura (Ron Bycraft) Lee and godson Michael Lee. He is survived by cousins on the Archambault side including Paul Jr., Carol Ann, Larry, Ronald and Rev. Father Don Archambault. Emery is also preceded in death by his in-laws on the Clement side of the family Yvonne (John) Smith, Jackie (Ralph) Wade, Rita (George) Bradacs, Dorothy (Ed) Gorski, and Paul (Magdeline) Clement who he spent memorable joyous moments with over the years. He is also survived by many Clement nieces and nephews. Emery enjoyed his local sports teams and was definitely looking forward to watching the Lions win this year with his son Roger. His favorite vacation spot was traveling to St. Ignace to spend time with his daughter and her family and Jack (Margaret) Ingalls and extended family. He spent the best times on the pontoon in Trout Lake with his U.P. family and friends. His favorite past time was his support of the St. Ignace Saints Basketball teams that his daughter Dorene and son-in-law Doug coached and he also loved watching his grandsons Jackson and Jonny. The Saints filled his heart with pride and joy as he followed all the sports teams very closely and continued to follow those who went on to play at the next level. It was decided that any contributions received from his funeral will be donated to the St. Ignace Saints basketball program that Emery had followed since 1999. Visitation for Emery will be from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. with a 3:00 p.m. funeral service led by his cousin Father Don Archambault on Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Wasik Funeral Home located at 35259 23 Mile Road in New Baltimore, Michigan 48047. There will be a meal served immediately following the service at the nearby VFW POST 7573 at 35011 23 Mile Rd. in New Baltimore.
