Barbara Ann Oliver

Barbara Ann Oliver, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the age of 70 at McLaren Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Barbara was born on Saturday, December 10, 1955, to her late parents James Marshall Henderson and Sally (Turrell) Henderson in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Her legacy is inseparable from the places she called home and the people she held dear. A devoted wife to John W. Oliver, Barbara celebrated 16 wonderful years of marriage filled with love and companionship. Together, they built a life rooted in both joy and support, residing in New Baltimore, Michigan. Barbara's career as a computer maintenance professional at the Macomb County Sheriff's Office in Clinton Township, Michigan, was marked by dedication and hard work. Her professionalism and commitment were evident up until her retirement in July 2013. In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her dear siblings, Timothy (Kathleen) Henderson and Steve (Carol) Jungers. She was a loving aunt to Jessica (Chris) and Tony, and a cherished great aunt to Dean and Avery. Her warmth also enveloped her sister-in-law, Paul (Patricia) and Mark Oliver, alongside many extended family members and friends. Her faithful dog, Bella, brought joy and companionship to her life and will miss her dearly. Barbara was predeceased by her beloved parents, Marshall and Sally Henderson, who undoubtedly welcomed their daughter into eternal rest. Family and friends are invited to honor Barbara's life and share their memories at a visitation on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Wasik Funeral Home, located at 35259 23 Mile Rd, New Baltimore. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 11:00 am, also at the funeral home, with an additional visitation starting at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Barbara expressed her wish for donations to be made in her memory to organizations close to her heart: the Michigan Animal Rescue League, from which she adopted Bella, www.marl.org, or contact them at 248-335-9290; and the Shriner’s Hospital at www.donate.shrinerschildrens.org. Barbara Ann Oliver's kindness, dedication, and loyalty touched the lives of all who knew her. Though her presence will be dearly missed, her spirit and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
