Anthony John Wilkewicz

Anthony John Wilkewicz passed away suddenly at his hunting property in Evart Michigan on October 12, 2019. Anthony was born on September 4, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan to Francis and Maryann Wilkewicz. A consummate outdoorsman Tony loved nothing better than being in touch with Mother Nature. If he wasn't out tracking deer at his property he could be found on the waters of Lake St. Clair hunting down perch and walleye. It mattered not whether the temperatures were moderate or subzero Tony would be out there. When he wasn't out in nature Tony loved to put his skills as a metal model maker to use crafting things for his family and friends. Tony's skills were appreciated by all who knew them by the crafty metal jewelry and keychains that he would fabricate from what other's would consider something to be thrown away. He could bring the beauty out of something as simple as scrap metal. Everyone who knew Tony would say that he was a giver. He would lend himself to his friends and family for whatever project that they needed done. Using his skills Tony would rather fix something than replace it with a new part. Just within the past weeks Tony was looking out for his union brothers while they were walking the picket line against General Motors. His friend had mentioned to Tony that walking the line was wearing him out because of a recent major illness...Tony wasted no time in getting in touch with the Union management and making sure they kept an eye on his friend. That's the kind of guy Tony was, always looking out for the other guy. What Tony was most proud of was his family though. He is the cherished husband of 41 years of Kathy. Loving father of Christopher (Amy) Wilkewicz, Kevin (Michelle) Wilkewicz, and Melissa (Travis) Chesser. Very proud Dziadzia of Cameron, Calix, and Frances. Dear brother of the late Bruce Eubanks. Loving son of the late Francis and Maryann Wilkewicz. Anthony's memory will also live on in his extended family and group of friends.
