Aldona Josephine Zynda

Aldona Josephine Zynda, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the age of 89. She was born February 20, 1934 in Poland to the late Ksawery and Maria Lojko. Beloved wife of the late Thomas. Dearest mother of Karen (Leonard) Olechiw, Russell (Alissa) Zynda, Patricia (Dennis) Laudenslager, and Janet (Kevin) Knaffla. Loving Busia of Charles Olechiw and Diana (Michael) Kosut; Rachel, Kylie, and Thomas Zynda; Bret, Jillian, and Mitchel Laudenslager; and Lily and Amy Knaffla. Dear sister of the late Janina (the late Walter) Korzec. Aldona is remembered as a woman who loved her family and home. At home, a home she was very proud of, she enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and going for walks around the block. In her free time, Aldona liked reading romance and mystery novels, playing Pinochle, Euchre, and Dominoes, and going to garage and estate sales. Shopping in general was something she enjoyed doing, especially clothes shopping and finding the perfect outfit. Above all though, Aldona cherished spending time with her family, which afforded her the opportunity to travel, whether it be going out to Oregon or to Crooked Lake in the U.P., getting a chance to travel and share time and memories with family was truly a joy to her. When we think of Aldona, it is not hard to recognize how important home and family was, and undoubtedly how important she was to others; she was "Busia", but not just to her grandchildren, but to their friends, her children's friends and colleagues...she was everyone's "Busia" through her warmth and kindness. Though we are saddened at her passing, and will dearly miss her, we are grateful that we had the opportunity and privilege to have "Busia" in our lives. Visitation Sunday 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (West of Hoover) Warren. Instate Monday 9:30 a.m. until a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Hope Parish, 28301 Little Mack Avenue (South of Martin) St. Clair Shores. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
